Grant Street Community Garden: Phase One Ribbon Cutting

Saturday, October 17, 2026 | 10:00 AM
805 Simmons Street, Durham, NC

Join us as we celebrate the first phase of the Grant Street Community Garden!

Over the past several months, neighbors and volunteers have cleared years of overgrowth and begun transforming this lot into a welcoming space for the whole community. Together, we’ve built raised garden beds, a storage shed, picnic tables, and a Little Library & Resource Center.

This special ribbon cutting is an opportunity to celebrate that progress, thank the people who have made it possible, and look ahead to what we’ll build together next.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and come celebrate with us! If you’d like to help care for the garden and support its next phase, join our WhatsApp group for updates and upcoming volunteer opportunities.

The garden is still growing—and so is the community shaping it. We’re building it together, one phase at a time. 🌱
